Welcome to SONIC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SONIC medical ultrasound training platform. By accessing or using SONIC, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using SONIC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use our platform.
2. Eligibility
To use SONIC, you must:
- Be a licensed medical professional or medical trainee
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
3. Platform Use
SONIC provides a platform for:
- Uploading ultrasound images for educational review
- Receiving feedback from qualified mentors
- Tracking training progress and competency development
- Connecting doctors with experienced mentors
4. User Responsibilities
As a user, you agree to:
- Use the platform only for legitimate educational and training purposes
- Ensure all uploaded images are properly anonymized and do not contain patient-identifying information
- Not use the platform for actual clinical decision-making
- Maintain confidentiality of all training materials and feedback
- Respect intellectual property rights of other users and SONIC
- Not attempt to circumvent security measures or access unauthorized areas
5. Mentor Responsibilities
Mentors additionally agree to:
- Provide feedback based on their professional expertise and best judgment
- Respond to assigned reviews in a timely manner
- Maintain appropriate professional standards in all communications
- Not use the platform to provide clinical care or medical advice
6. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of content you upload to SONIC. By uploading content, you grant SONIC a non-exclusive license to use, store, and display your content as necessary to provide our services.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
SONIC is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:
- The platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Feedback provided is suitable for clinical use
- The platform meets any specific certification requirements
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SONIC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of SONIC after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
